YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!
As we go about our lives, we cannot escape the daily reminders of the continuing problem of human suffering in the world. With today’s modern communication technology we are bombarded 24/7 with stories of violent conflict, natural disasters, extreme poverty and environmental catastrophes in disturbing detail. As Christians we often feel real compassion for the people affected by these tragic situations and a desire to do something to alleviate their pain, but feel overwhelmed and powerless to make an impact on such insurmountable and distant problems.
As we know from the educational process in our own lives, the more we learn about any difficult problem the more confidence we gain in our ability to address it with positive results. This is why we decided to create the Center for Faith & Global Education, a new nonprofit Christian international education organization with a mission to mobilize and train followers of Christ for effective global engagement in those areas of the world where human needs are most critical. We wanted to develop a new educational model that would allow Christians to combine their spiritual tools of love, forgiveness, reconciliation, and justice with newly acquired knowledge of global issues that would better prepare them for effective international service and ministry.
